Starting tomorrow, April 14, the first PS5 update will be available , which will allow – among the most important features – to save PS5 games on a USB storage memory and to share the game actions between PS5 consoles and PS4.
The possibility of being able to install PS5 games on an external hard drive (previously only possible with PS4 games) was long overdue by all console owners.
Here is what’s new in the update:
- PS5 storage expansion and management, having the opportunity to transfer PS5 games from the console’s internal storage memory to USB extended storage;
- New social features for PS4 and PS5 , including cross-gen Share Play and the ability to join a friend’s play session on both platforms;
- Customization and control options optimized for PS5 consoles
- New features for PlayStation App , to make remote connection as easy as possible
